Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account directly in the app:
- Open BibleDiary, go to Settings → Account.
- Choose "Delete Account" and confirm as prompted.
- Once deleted, your cloud sync data, sign-in records and usage records associated with your account are removed from our servers.
If you can't access the app on your device, you may also email junzhi1117@gmail.com to request account deletion; we will verify your identity and help process it.
Local journal data on your device can be removed by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's data in your device settings.
Note: deleting your account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription — please cancel it separately in the store to stop future charges.
FAQ
Is my journal secure?
Journal entries are encrypted and stored on your device by default, and are only backed up to the cloud, encrypted, if you explicitly enable cross-device sync. See the Privacy Policy.
Does the AI recommendation see what I wrote?
Only when you tap "Get AI scripture recommendation" and consent does that specific entry get sent for processing; our servers do not store journal content.
I forgot my backup password.
Exported backup files are encrypted with a password you choose. We have no way to retrieve or reset it — losing the password means that backup file's contents cannot be recovered.
